Work and Learn

Work and Learn is a supervised educational program designed for academy enrolled students who have a desire to learn as much as possible about horse care, or may someday want to lease or own a horse. There is so much more to learn about horse ownership and farm management than a weekly lesson can provide. This program focuses on the daily needs of horses, but there is no horse handling in this program.

Introductory student

	ages 8-10
	limited to 1 hour weekly
	how and when to refill shavings, clean barn aisle, water and feed buckets

Junior student 10% lesson rebate

	ages 11-13
	minimum 1 hour weekly
	how to clean a stall, disinfect brushes, and properly clean water troughs

Senior student 20% lesson rebate

	ages 14+
	minimum 2 hours weekly
	learn stall maintenance, daily feeding, and tack conditioning

We provide this program free of charge to enrolled lesson students. If you are interested but not enrolled in the lessons fees for Work and Learn classes are $10 per hour per student.
